Full Job Description

  • To manage the MHE fleet, ensuring that it is maintained correctly and that all users are suitably qualified

  • To promote and foster a culture of working safely and supporting the development of the team and the individuals within it

  • Key tasks

  • To manage the MHE fleet, ensuring that it is maintained, fit for purpose and all issues are escalated correctly

  • To deliver driver training and retraining as qualified

  • To deliver mandatory health and safety training, as qualified, e.g. manual handling; health and safety inductions

  • To manage all training records, ensuring all records are compliant and proactively managed

  • To constantly monitor driving standards within the warehouse, identifying concerns and acting upon them

  • To work with the MHE supplier to agree onsite costs and make every effort to mitigate these costs where possible

  • To set and meet high standards in terms of hygiene and Health and Safety, managing breaches in line with Company policy

  • To foster a positive working environment through regular communication with the team, providing feedback; encouraging ideas, developing skills, understanding concerns and celebrating success

  • A 'trained trainer', capable of delivering training and maintaining training records

  • Passionate about Health and Safety with the knowledge to set and lead the Health and Safety
