Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen within Member Services for a part time Member Services Officer working 2 days per week (14.5 hours). This post is temporary until approximately 30th June 2025.

WHAT IS INVOLVED:

You will work as part of a team to provide comprehensive support for Members of the Council and contribute to the efficient provision of the services provided by the Member Services Team.

You will act as a point of contact for those wishing to communicate with Members of the Council including Officers and the public and deal with Members enquiries and casework including background research, contact with nominated officers and initiating correspondence., Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.

You should have BTEC in Public Administration or equivalent or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent and have experience of supporting the work of elected Members.
