Full Job Description

Job Summary The post holder will undertake all necessary administration tasks associated with the safe and effective business requirements of Penn Hill Surgery. It will be necessary to ensure that our record keeping around all aspects of patient data is captured and utilized to a high standard. Attention to detail and managing a workload are key elements for this post. To provide general assistance to the practice team, in particular the reception team for ad hoc cover within contracted hours or as overtime. To project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or by telephone. To uphold and deliver the values, standards, aims, objectives and expectations of Penn Hill Surgery Job Responsibilities Complete all patient referrals including 2 week waits (2ww) required as directed by the clinical staff and sending booking letters to patients. Monitoring of Urgent/2ww/A&G referrals. Process all requests for copies medical records/reports. Redacting 3rd
party information where necessary. Raise invoices for medical records/reports. Post all records recorded delivery or contact patient to collect them. Log and process all private letter requests from patients. Completing tasks. Dealing with enquires from patients/insurance companies/solicitors/hospitals etc. Check stationary/prescription paper/registration form stock levels and place orders accordingly. Data inputting for the child immunisation clinic weekly and any admin associated with the child imms and the Health Authority. Deal with patient registrations including temp patients and deductions, liaising with PCSE when necessary. Summarising medical records. Action summary care records, GP2GP, amendments, rejections and unmatched documents. Collating cytology information for the recall system through the Health Authority. Scanning and coding of clinical documents. Coding of screening, health checks and flus. Distribution of emails. Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the
post as requested by the Partners, Practice Managers or Operations Manager. General: Attend team meetings, monthly staff meetings and other meetings as appropriate. Assist reception team with adhoc cover. Participate in, and contribute to, service improvement work with the Practice Manager and Partners. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post and to react to statutory, legislative and NHS policy within the scope of the role, including CQC registration compliance
