Medical Laboratory Assistant

We are currently seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our medical team. The successful candidate will assist in various laboratory procedures and tasks to support the medical staff in delivering quality patient care., Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment in the laboratory.
- Utilise anatomy and physiology knowledge to assist with laboratory tests and procedures.
- Handle paediatric samples with care and precision.
- Use medical terminology accurately when documenting laboratory results.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures for sample collection.
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations within the laboratory setting.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist in catheterisation procedures as required.
- Support the laboratory team in conducting various tests and experiments.
- Apply physiology knowledge to aid in understanding test results.

Proven experience working in a laboratory environment is desirable.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and maintaining cleanliness in the lab.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Ability to phlebotomise patients efficiently and safely.
- Basic life support certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures.
- Capability to catheterise patients under supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
