Full Job Description

The role is primarily to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective administrative support to Medical Education. The post-holder will support the delivery of high-quality post-graduate and undergraduate medical training placements, providing support with junior doctor educational activities and their induction., The role will provide an exceptional and efficient administrative service to medical and dental placements within trust and will include the following duties:

  • Arranging meetings, organising the agenda and taking minutes.

  • Coordinating teaching sessions, producing attendance reports and certificates.

  • Helping to ensure that the requirements of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the GMC are maintained.

  • Providing admin support to the Medical Education Lead, Director of Medical Education, Simulation Lead and Fellows, Undergraduate Coordinator and College Tutors.

  • Support the popular Medical Work Experience Programme within the trust.

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of professionals ranging from programme managers at NHS England, to doctors and dentists in training and psychiatric supervisors. Working as part of a small and friendly team there will be opportunities to cross cover colleagues and develop your knowledge around undergraduate placements and many exciting projects.


  • This post does involve manual handling of equipment and the need for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle, to be able to transport equipment and to work across various sites within the Trust's footprint as needed. This is essential.
