Full Job Description

MEDIA TECHNICIAN: MUSIC TECHNOLOGY

NJC Grade 4, SCP 5-6

£21,316-£22,163 (Actual - pay award pending)

37 hours per week/41 weeks

(Term-time plus 3 weeks)

We are seeking to recruit from September, a suitably qualified individual to join our Performing Arts department. Working under the direction of our Senior Media Production Technician, the successful applicant will have knowledge of music technology and live sound, together with knowledge of, or the desire to acquire knowledge and experience in the theatre and media production.

The role will require the successful applicant to work within the Performing Arts and whole school setting, requiring them to work across some of our multi-media platforms - presentations, plasma screens and website, etc. This post also carries specific responsibility for the maintenance and development of our extensive music technology resources.

How to Apply:

We ask all applicants to apply through Face-Ed; our recruitment software. This enables us to efficiently carry out our safer recruitment checks, but we recognise it can take some time for the applicant. The good news is, you will only need to register for Face-Ed once to apply for any role in the Fallibroome Trust's 10 schools.

Our top tips for a painless process are as follows:
1. Because Face-Ed is cloud based software, it is possible for you to experience a break in connection and you won't necessarily know about it straight away. We therefore strongly recommend that you prepare your main application content in a different package like MS Word/Notepad and copy and paste it into your Face-Ed application form in the relevant sections.
2. If you get a message saying "Validation Error" it isn't a software fault. It means you have entered data in a format that wasn't expected and it is causing a problem with saving. This might mean you have entered words in a box that expects numbers, for example.
