Mechanical, Electrical and Water Safety Manager

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a passionate and results-oriented leader to join our team! In this exciting role, you'll oversee the maintenance and improvement of our council homes, ensuring residents have safe, comfortable living spaces. But that's not all! You'll also play a key role in our ambitious plan to reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable future for our borough.
What will you do?

• Lead the commissioning, oversight, and inspection of repairs and maintenance for gas, mechanical, electrical, and water systems across our residential housing.


• Develop and implement innovative programs that reduce carbon emissions and move our homes towards an EPC C-rate by 2030.


• Manage and deliver major works, cyclical maintenance, and investment programs, ensuring value for money and resident satisfaction.


• Oversee external contractors, guaranteeing high standards, adherence to regulations, and cost-effectiveness


• Lead a team of professionals and drive a positive, performance-oriented culture.
  
  Has a proven track record managing major works, cyclical repairs, and stock improvement programs in residential housing.


• Is a strategic leader with experience in managing contractors and delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.


• Possesses a strong commitment to resident engagement and satisfaction.


• Is passionate about sustainability and driving positive environmental change.


• Holds a Chartered Institute for Housing Level 4 qualification.
