Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Yunex Traffic, you will help us deliver high quality products and form a pivotal role in lifecycle (designing, integrating, testing, and maintaining) the mechanical aspects of our products.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, internal and external customers will be key aspects of this role.,
- Utilize 3D CAD design tools (Autodesk Inventor), our 3D printers and rapid prototyping techniques for your design development.
- Conduct and document mechanical design calculations using both manual and computational techniques (FEA).
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in your designs.
- Apply your strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, sheet metal, and plastic injection moulding.
- Familiarity with designing to meet the demanding requirements on outdoor equipment such Ingress protection and wind-loading.
- Collaborate and influence with internal and external design teams - helping to understand requirements and develop optimised design solutions.
Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline. - Appreciation of electronic and electrical systems.
- Experience in mechanical testing for validation.
- Familiarity with standards such as BS EN 1991-1-4, BS EN40, TSRGD, and DMRB.

Base salary with generous annual bonus (based on company performance). - 26 days holiday, increasing up to 29 days with length of service.
