Full Job Description

The main purpose of the role is to support the current teaching staff by facilitating and / or supporting lessons to ensure our students have the best possible opportunity to succeed. When you are not teaching or supporting the students you will be assisting the department with the preparation of teaching resources.

The College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly and professional team within the Maths & English Department. The successful candidate will have full training offered if they desire to become a fully qualified teacher. Our previous GCSE/FS Facilitators have become fully fledged teachers within our professional and forward-thinking department., The ideal candidate may have classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant or Teacher looking to develop their teaching, learning and assessment skills or return to the classroom after a career break. Candidates who have been supply teaching or those who have part completed their teaching qualification or those still in their first 2-3 years of teaching are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will need to a have a minimum level 2 qualification - ideally in Maths and be willing to work towards a level 3 qualification. Experience of working with young people aged 16-18 is desirable as well as the ability to deliver a creative curriculum. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
