Full Job Description

Showbase is a rapidly expanding event production company, based near Tatton Park in Cheshire. We work with a number of exciting clients, at some of the region's most talked about events. We are recruiting to our marketing team!

We are looking for a pro-active and positive individual to manage a varied calendar of event marketing campaigns, including in-house and subcontracted events (festivals, markets, food and drink experiences, brand activations, Christmas pop-ups), as well as managing the company's general social media presence.

Our new marketing manager will be taking charge of their own marketing projects to effectively promote company activity across a wide range of media, to meet ticket sale, social media engagement and new business objectives.

Role Specification

  • You will oversee marketing campaigns for a variety of diverse projects, including client and in-house events. You will manage your marketing campaigns from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, tracking and reporting.

  • You will generate interesting content to promote the company's activity via all forms of advertising media - including social media, paid-for content and web pages - and manage social media scheduling and posting via our post scheduling app. You will provide metrics for your content, in accordance with the specific targets set.

  • You will conduct market research to identify the best potential marketing opportunities and be in contact with media partners to define the scope of paid-for content.

  • You will be in communication with a variety of company contacts, including clients, suppliers, agencies, traders and photographers to stay on top of content and scheduling requirements.

  • You will be working alongside the Event Management team to create your campaigns, and to get the best outcome for each project., Work from our beautiful farm location in our newly converted barn office. We are surrounded by rural views, within easy reach of Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington or Chester.

  • Hybrid working, with WFH available. You will be required to be in work for campaign planning and reporting.

  • Be part of a rapidly expanding company with exciting client connections. Festival tickets, press passes and behind the scenes access comes with some of our client events.

  • We are offering a flexible contract, between 22.5-30 hours per week, so may suit an individual returning to work or juggling childcare / other employment. Please specify your availability for work in your application.


  • Please note that the listed pay bracket will be pro-rated according to the hours worked

    Expected hours: 22 per week

  • You will have prior experience of independently managing your own marketing campaigns.

  • You will be a proactive, productive individual, who can demonstrate experience of working solo and in teams to achieve sales or business development targets.

  • You will have a natural writing style which will lend itself to generating excitement and buzz about events, and to successfully articulating the company's expertise and ethos.

  • You will be expected to contribute to the company in a positive way and be supportive of the company's growth trajectory.


  • Experience Required
  • 2 years experience of working in a similar role

  • Proven track record of successful marketing campaign management, including scheduling, budgeting and reporting.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of writing marketing content

  • Knowledge of post scheduling tools is an advantage

  • Knowledge of Canva is an advantage

  • Own transport is a must, as our offices are rural and not on public transport.
