The ideal candidate will have the following (non-essential, but desired):

· Relevant degree or experience within a marketing role

· A self-sufficient, motivated, and proactive approach to work

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· A full clean driving license

· A love of motorbikes and/or cycle

The role offers a diverse range of responsibilities with promising opportunities for career advancement. This role is full-time and based at the Oxford Products 'Design, Research, and Development Centre' (DRDC) in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Flexibility and willingness to travel is an essential part of this role. In some instances, shows, events and photoshoots may require you to work outside of your standard contracted hours, however, this time will be accounted for and remunerated appropriately.

OXFORD is a market-leading brand in the two-wheel world, with some 20,000 product lines covering a wide range of aftermarket needs in the motorcycle and cycle markets. Its products are successfully distributed in over 75 countries worldwide, with huge growth potential to target.

Oxford Products Ltd is a dominant distributor of market-leading brands in the UK (including OXFORD), providing the motorcycle and cycle trade with around 30,000 product lines from which to profit.

The company boasts innovative go-to-market strategies and has created a powerful sales and marketing mechanism for all those products. This benefits from continual investment and development to stay ahead of the competition.

As a result of these developments, a new role within the marketing team has become available; one which combines the company's UK and international ambitions in the organisation, coordination and development of its PR, Shows & Events. The role would be heavily supported by the rest of Oxford's marketing machine.

The Public Relations side of the role will support existing relationships in the UK media and develop new relationships in the international media for Oxford's motorcycle and cycle business.

Oxford already has a significant footprint in the UK motorcycle media and a growing presence in the UK cycle media. The former requires maintenance, the latter demands growth.

Internationally, the brand is distributed in over 75 countries, so the potential for this role to add value is limitless. However, thanks to recent success in developing distribution in France and Germany, the focus will initially be on these countries which offer enormous business growth potential.

The Shows and Events aspect of the role involves planning, organising and attending one or two major international shows, two or three UK shows and half a dozen internal events every year. The company has well-established practises for these activities, which will benefit from refinement and more direct focus.
