Marketing Assistant

Merlin Cinemas is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cinema Marketing Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our cinemas and wider businesses while gaining valuable experience in marketing within the entertainment industry. Based in Redruth, the successful candidate will support all our marketing efforts and help promote our cinemas to local audiences., You will be working with the Company Marketing Manager assisting in a diverse range of branding and communication tasks for our cinemas, theatres and restaurants.

Your tasks will include:

• Developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote upcoming promotions, films and shows.


• Creating engaging and visually appealing content for all our digital platforms, including social media posts, email newsletters, website updates, and printed promotional materials.


• Assisting in our Social Media Management including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.


• Supporting ongoing tasks with our other digital channels including the ongoing maintenance of the website, email systems and other third-party integrations.


• Taking an active role in analysis of sales and trends.
  
  Previous experience in marketing, public relations, event planning, or customer service is desirable.


• CIM or equivalent qualification is also desirable.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.


• Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas.


• Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.


• Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) are preferred.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment that has to react to business levels and changing lineups every week.

Finer Details:

• We will be holding interviews on the 12th and 13th June.


• Initially, the hours offered are 2 working days a week, one of which must be a Tuesday.


• The hourly rate offered will depend on experience.


Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
