Full Job Description

  • Development of Offshore Wind Farm installation logistics concepts for RWE Renewables' future projects in a team experts for Foundation Installation, Cable Installation, Wind turbine installation and Floating Wind Turbine Installation

  • Drive the safety and quality of Marine Operations for RWE

  • Setting the standards on vessel requirements and RWEs standards for offshore operation

  • Support RWE Renewables activities in Offshore Development and Offshore Construction in the areas of conventional offshore wind and floating wind as a center of competence regarding vessels and marine operations. This includes CTVs, SOVs, supply vessels as well as heavy-lift vessels, jack-ups, cable laying, scour protection vessels and anchor handling tugs

  • Support the procurement processes by reviewing/creating the Scope of Works, tender evaluations and negotiations.

  • Execute vessel on-hire surveys

  • Evaluate port layouts and load out proposals

  • Review risk assessments, method statements and operating instructions

  • Coordinate internal and external parties such as scheduling, engineering, certification, marine coordination, HSSE, authorities, vessel suppliers, marine warranty surveyor

  • Technical and commercial assessment of different installation methodologies

    Relevant marine background as Master Mariner

  • Deep understanding and proven operational experience of all kinds of vessel operations such as DP operations, Heavy Lifting and Jacking operationsExperience in the Development and Maintenance of Safety Management Systems

  • At least five years of experience in marine project management

  • Enhanced skills of written and spoken English language

  • Strong collaborator, self-starting and highly motivated

  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel frequently in Europe, the US and APAC

  • Ability to work offshore and at heightsVery good communication skills

  • Structured thinking, development of methods and procedures
