Managing Quantity Surveyor - Surrey - Industrial

Setsquare is reaching you for a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor, looking to manage the commercial department which currently consists of 6 QS's., Company Overview: The company is a leading main contractor specializing in industrial development projects. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality construction projects, they are committed to excellence in every aspect of their work. As they continue to expand and take on new challenges, they are seeking a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to the success.

You will be expected to take ownership on the below -
1. Providing certainty to the business that the sub-contractor liabilities are correct across the projects and that adequate due diligence is being undertaken on some of the riskier packages, in particular groundworks.
2. Proper assessment of sub-contractor valuations and making payment requests on time.
3. Ensuring timely procurement and placement of sub-contract packages.
4. Maximising opportunities for profit enhancement as a D&B contractor.
5. Improving the influence and visibility of the commercial team on site.

All sites are supported by a Site Manager, Design Manager and Quantity Surveyor. A lot of the catchment area is M25 & Home Counties with QS's being a mix of office & remote working with site visits and ranging in value between £2 to £20 million.

My client are looking to pay a competitive basic salary plus a benefits package including car allowance, travel and pension with the position looking to start ASAP but the client is happy to wait if the candidate has a notice period.
