Full Job Description

  • Managing all aspects of the accounting process including raising sales invoices, processing purchase invoices and inputting and journal entries.

  • Account reconciliations

  • Responsible for debtors & cash collection

  • Preparing cashflow forecasts

  • Preparing & submitting quarterly VAT returns

  • Weekly and month-end financial performance reporting

  • Management of new vehicle funding

  • Import information into management reporting software

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis for the Group Finance Director

  • Agree timescales, costs and resources


  • This is a fast paced and exciting role within a high growth business. The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (minimum AAT) with strong commercial experience and acumen, as well as excellent communication and organisational abilities.

    This position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career. The candidate will be required to maintaining the day to day duties of the advertised role whilst the progression comes with the growth of the company and will be clearly set out.

    Experience with dealership & workshop software Pinewood

  • Motor Trade experience preferred

  • Keyloop / Kerridge experience essential

  • Good leadership skills

  • The ability to use your initiative and have good problem-solving skills

  • Be thorough and pay attention to detail

  • Business management skills

  • Excellent reporting skills

  • A good knowledge of Excel with exceptional analytical skills

  • Report regularly to senior managers and depots on performance and efficiency

  • Use specialised software and spreadsheets to plan, cost and analyse risks

  • An understanding and experience of the automotive industry

  • A working knowledge of automotive industry accounts and management programmes
