Full Job Description

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, we are providing an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Craftspersons to work on a 12-hour continuous shift basis in our Maintenance and Engineering sections to carry out both planned and breakdown maintenance tasks.

In detail, the position encompasses duties and responsibilities as follows:

  • Responsible for assisting the Engineering department to deliver the optimized level of asset reliability and availability necessary to meet business expectations.


  • Responsible for working on a wide range of mechanical and thermo-processing equipment

  • . have at least 2 years' experience in a heavy manufacturing and/or hot metal processing environment
  • hold a comprehensive knowledge of the construction and maintenance of heavy manufacturing and processing equipment and able to carry out risk assessments


  • . be physically fit with the ability to work under pressure and complete tasks to a timeframe
  • has a "can-do" attitude and the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the business


  • Due to the nature of the Company's operations, we operate a strict no-smoking policy on the premises, non-smoking applicants would therefore be preferred for this role.

    Salary starting package circa £55k per annum inclusive of shift premium plus benefits - Company pension scheme, annual bonus, private medical healthcare, social and sports club and gym membership.
