Full Job Description

  • Answer all enquires in a willing and accommodating manner with up to date, accurate information about menus, room capabilities, procedures etc. and within the standard response time.

  • Meet prospective engaged couples and corporate clients at enquiry stage to present and Davenport House and our wonderful facilities and propose event solutions based on their needs.

  • Record all enquiries and enquiry outcomes.

  • To follow up on all prosed quotes and provisional bookings with the departmental standards timings obtaining confirmation or releasing the space.

  • To follow up on issued contracts

  • Coordinate special guest requirements with our preferred suppliers.

  • Create event sheets, detailing all customer requirements and distribute to relevant departments and run through event timelines and details with the Operations Team.

  • To act as a liaison between clients and the operations team to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

  • To liaise with kitchen and head chef with full detailed function details.

  • Meet and greet all organised events and be the main point of contact to meet and greet the bride & groom on their wedding day while supporting the operations team to facilitate the run of the event on the day.

  • To carry out any other reasonable task requested by a member of the management team, to enable the business to run efficiently and smoothly.

  • Support with additional events during busy periods.

  • Build professional relationships with clients to encourage loyalty and guest retention.

  • Support with the planning of different themes, for internal annual events and special dates like Easter, Christmas, Valentine's day, Summer pop ups.

  • We are looking for an experienced and passionate person who can confidently deliver exceptional 5 star service to our brides, customers and all guests.

    At the same time the ideal candidate will have a great deal of experience in working with corporate clients, a clear understanding of their needs and the ability to build on a strong existing client base.

    You will be confident, passionate and have immense pride in you role. You will have real pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build long term relationships.

    We are also looking for someone with a strong sales background and ability, someone who is confident in the brand and is able to secure bookings through fantastic personal skills and strong confidence.

    Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years event management or wedding planning experience.

    Sales experience in Wedding or Event Sales.
  • Qualify all wedding enquiries as well as corporate enquiries when required dependant on business needs.
