Full Job Description

1. To support lunch time and sleep time as directed by childcare practitioners

2. To work effectively as a full member of a team to ensure good practices in relation to childcare, are maintained.

3. To support childcare practitioners in the delivery of activities/curriculum, while inside and outside.

4. Providing care for children, setting routines, developing/encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialising and specific 1:1 with SEND children

5. Ensuring children are learning positive behaviour and providing guidance / support.

6. Preparing children for transition (inside/outside)

7. To write basic observations on children with regards to their activities and learning

8. To carry out all legal requirements such as Health and Safety including hygiene practice and infection control (sterilising and disinfecting), Food Hygiene, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and to keep all records.

9. To provide high standard with regards to Ofsted requirements or other agreed targets.

10. To complete regular training on statutory requirements such as safeguarding, First aid, Health and safety/infection control and food and hygiene.

12. To take active part in daily cleaning routine with and around children.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as required by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Liaison with: other staff member, students/volunteers, parents/carers, visitors and other agencies such as RHOSEY, schools, children's centre …

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

    6. You will be required to do a trial in the nursery for 2 hours from week beginning 27th May 2024 from 11 to 1pm. Please let me know which day you would be available.
