Key Responsibilities Delivering the Service - on a daily basis Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise. This will require effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing and actively seek constructive feedback on service provision. The Supervisors role covers a range of services within facilities. To train, monitor and supervise facilities staff in all the elements of their role. To supervise the handling of Clinical waste generated by the retained estate. Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out portering duties to cover the needs of the service. A Supervisor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery. Supports the Trusts Health and Safety Policy ensuring staff are trained to ensure the safety of staff visitors and patient within their area of work. Monitor
areas of responsibility to ensure service standards are consistently delivered in line with National Cleaning Standards. Taking remedial action as necessary. To support the Team Leaders in ensuring equipment used to deliver the service is of the standard required and is maintained to physical and technical standards. To inform Team Leaders of the ordering requirements to maintain sufficient stock levels to deliver the service. Undertake initial investigation and reporting of untoward incidents and accidents using Datix. Completion and returning of Absence Monitoring forms. Will be required to take responsibility for ensuring that return to work interviews are completed in a timely manner and that the Team Leaders are informed when an employee reaches the next stage of the Trust Management of Sickness and Absence Policy.
