Full Job Description

This post is for a 12 month Fixed Term ENT Locum Consultant. This is a whole time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Consultant to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering care to Paediatric ENT patients at Alder Hey., The work schedule will be based on a standard 40-hour contract of 10 programmed activities (PA's). The clinical timetable has been designed to attract the best candidates to this Trust. It is however; open to discussion and alteration with the aims of being in the best interests of the service and meeting individual needs. The work schedule will include 8.5 PA's for direct patient care.

The Department is friendly and supportive, providing an excellent mentoring environment. The appointee will have an office equipped with a PC and internet access. IT training is available if required. There will be designated full time secretarial support.

Due to the short term nature of the role/service demand, the successful candidate must hold full registration with the GMC and have existing right to live and work in the UK, at the time of application.Candidates who are not GMC registered or do not hold existing right to live and work in the UK at the time of application will not progress through the shortlisting stage.

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is one of Europe's biggest and busiest children's hospitals providing care for over 200,000 children and young people each year. It is one of only four stand-alone paediatric trusts in the UK and is staffed by 2,800 employees. The Trust provides a range of community services including school nursing, home carers and a child development center. A child and adolescent mental health service is also provided.
