Library Assistant

We require a Library Assistant to join Earl Mortimer College to manage the day to day running of the school library for the use of pupils and staff.

· Have previous library, literary or relevant experience at secondary level

· Have previous experience of Accelerated Reader (preferred)

· Enjoy a love of children's literature and hold a belief that all children have the ability and right to read

· Are self motivated with an ability to work on your own initiative

· Are able to work as part of a team

· Have the ability to relate well to pupils, parents and staff

· Have good organisational skills with a methodical approach to record keeping and data production

· Have a helpful and pleasant manner

· Are creative in finding ways to increase the library stock and keep students engaged in reading
