Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced legal setting, as part of the Family Court Disclosure team within the Legal Services Department of Gloucestershire Constabulary. Providing administrative support and assistance to the Family Court & CAFCASS Disclosure Officers, you will not just be scanning and filing. The work covers the exchange of information and material between criminal and family agencies and jurisdictions. It relates to all private and public family law proceedings, including contemplated public law proceedings, and all material held by the police. As part of a small supportive team, you can make a real contribution towards the goal to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, on behalf of the Chief Constable, his officers and staff.

What will the role involve?

This role will support the Family Court & CAFCASS Disclosure Officers with day-to-day administrative tasks.

This role will be responsible for duties including: managing the shared mailbox; receiving and logging requests and orders for disclosure; tracking court deadlines; assisting with work towards meeting requests and orders; and assisting with raising invoices.

This role will be the first point of contact for the Family Court Disclosure Team and will be responsible for dealing with queries from internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player.We are keen to hear from you if you are competent in Microsoft systems (including Excel, Word and Outlook) as well as Adobe, and if you have previous administrative experience.

With appropriate training, we will need you to be able to use multiple IT systems at once - which will include Microsoft systems and the Constabulary's in-house systems - to transfer information into various documents.
