Full Job Description

A prestigious law firm, renowned and acclaimed in the Legal 500, is actively searching for a skilled Legal Secretary to join their expanding Commercial Litigation Department at their esteemed Bournemouth office.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Provide secretarial and administrative support

- Ensure fee earners can focus on legal work and maintain efficient, friendly, and professional client service.

- Offer potential to undertake junior level fee earning work under supervision.

- Perform digital dictation for full typing service

- Handle file opening and bill raising

- Manage telephone calls, letters, faxes, and emails

- Utilise Word and other Microsoft IT packages proficiently

- Organise diaries and schedule appointments

- Prepare documents as needed

- Address client inquiries promptly

- Assist with research tasks

- Support Fee Earners with caseload and take on some junior level fee earning work under supervision.

- Handle filing tasks and other general clerical duties.

We're in search of a candidate who combines IT proficiency with excellent typing skills, demonstrating outstanding administrative and organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills, including a professional telephone manner. They should naturally be a team player, capable of working independently and thriving in a fast-paced, progressive work atmosphere. Previous experience as a legal secretary, especially in a Property department, is highly preferred.
