An opportunity has arisen to join GE Vernova's Legal Operations team on a 12-month fixed term contract supporting its Chief Legal Operations Counsel ("CLOC") on a range of strategic and operational initiatives.

The successful applicant will report directly to and work closely with the CLOC and engage regularly with the General Counsel and other in-house lawyers, panel law firms and professionals across GE Vernova's Law & Policy function and partner functions, in particular Sourcing, Technology and Finance.

GE Vernova is a newly listed entity this is an opportunity to join a new and evolving global organization in the rapidly changing and growing Energy sector. The Legal Operations team in GE Vernova is also newly formed, and this represents an opportunity to play a key role in the team as it builds out new and enhances existing functional operating processes and tools to support the effective operations of GE Vernova's Law & Policy function.

This position location is Hammersmith, UK but with hybrid and flexible working being an option for this role.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Legal Operations Manager - Strategic & Operational Initiatives will have the following responsibilities:

  • Map, analyze and identify improvements and additions to the operational systems, processes and tools deployed by GE Vernova's Law & Policy team including processes and tools in relation to:

  • + administration of legal matters from engagement of panel law firms through to enterprise matter management system entry and analysis and payment; and
    + deployed across the function and business units of GE Vernova's Law & Policy where opportunities exist for harmonization and integration.
  • Build execution plans and manage the execution for approved system and process enhancements and initiatives.

  • Support the CLOC in leading and reporting functional initiatives and priorities of GE Vernova Law & Policy and of the Legal Operations team.

  • Support the CLOC in developing and implementing Lean operating system processes and ways of working including

  • + identifying innovative ways to problem-solve
    + consultation and coaching the Law & Policy function in implementing Lean principles and change management;
    + a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide support around financial performance analysis and forecasting for the Global Law & Policy function.


  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Honors Degree with a respected University having obtained at least a 2:1 class degree. Equivalent professional expertise may be considered where candidates have depth of expertise in project management.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in project/programme management, legal operations or Management Consultancy.

  • Experience working in a large and matrixed global organisation.

  • High level of computer literacy.

  • Knowlegde of lean methodologies ideally with a qualification in Lean and/or Lean Six Sigma and a track record of deploying across operational functions.
