How does joining a dynamic costing team sound to you? If you are looking for a new challenge or to begin your career in legal costing, we are recruiting for a Legal Aid Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to progress to a family legal costing role and although previous experience of legal aid would be preferable, it is not necessary as full training will be given.

As a Legal Aid Administrator, you will be part of a large and supportive team responsible for reviewing cost and scope limitations, applying for payments on account and dealing with enquiries regarding legal aid family matters. The role includes maintaining legal aid costs records, ensuring compliance with legal aid rules and regulations and providing support to fee earners and support staff on a variety of family legal costs matters.

  • GCSE Maths and English Level 1-4 or Grade A-C

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and IT skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
