Attention to detail and effective time management is a must.
A high degree of IT literacy, particularly a good familiarity with MS Office and ideally with experience of using electronic case management systems is a requirement. You'll regularly work with detailed legal documents and so proficiency in version control and use of 'track changes' is essential.
Experience in a similar role in a residential or commercial property legal team is a distinct advantage. Basic accounting knowledge as it relates to property processes is also an advantage. You may even have a legal secretarial qualification or business or administrative qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You'll be comfortable with dictation.
