Full Job Description

Lecturer and Tutor Assessor Digital Programmes within Apprenticeships

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CCN Digital Apprenticeships team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide face-to-face training to groups of apprentices on the Level 3 Information Communications Technician standard at the City College Norwich campus. The digital provision is growing, and there may be opportunities for involvement in delivering the Level 4 Network Engineer, Level 3 Data Technician and Level 4 Data Analyst standards.

The CCN digital provision benefits from the DigiTech Building, which is purpose-built, and the classrooms are equipped state-of-the-art hardware and software.

We are looking for a 0.7 Lecturer (3.5 days per week) / 0.3 Assessor (1.2 days a week). There may be an opportunity to progress to a full-time lecturing role. We would consider a Job Share for this position.

0.7FTE (3.5 days per week) Lecturer

25.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£32,732 - £39,096 per annum pro rata


0.3FTE (1.2 days a week) Tutor Assessor

11.1 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£29,403 - £31,350 per annum pro rata


You will need current ICT skills, Level 4 IT or Network Engineer qualifications, or relevant industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced educators, or individuals who possess IT industry experience, are looking to move into a teaching role, and obtain a formal teaching qualification.


You will need excellent communication skills, creativity in curriculum design, confidence in delivering engaging content to groups of attentive individuals, a passion for your industry, and a genuine desire to develop the next generation of digital professionals.
