Full Job Description

Lecturer in Electrical Installation within Apprenticeships

36 hours, 52 weeks per year

£32,732 - £39,096 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City College Norwich Apprenticeships Team. We have a vacancy for full time post within our Electrical Installation Team and are looking for someone who has up to date industry skill (min 5 years) and at least a level 3 qualification. This is an ideal opportunity to instil best practise and have an influence on shaping the next generation of electricians entering the industry.

In this role, you could be delivering practical and theory sessions to groups of electrical apprentices or engaging with learners and employers to conduct periodic reviews and assess competence in the workplace, which is why you will need such a strong technical skillset as well as excellent interpersonal skills. We have high standards for our students, and you will be tracking, recording work and assessments so you will need to be well organised and efficient as well as a confident user of IT. If you have been working in an environment where you are used to giving feedback constructively and setting challenging but realistic targets, that would be beneficial when applying for these roles.

Ideally, you will have teaching qualifications, however, we would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills and experience (five years minimum), great communication skills (written and verbal) and the patience and passion to help others learn, develop and progress. We can support you to train as a teacher if you have no teaching qualifications but the right soft skills and technical trade background.

City College Norwich is a great place to work, and we have had really positive feedback about how supportive and proactive the Apprenticeship Team is. We genuinely aim to make a difference to people's life chances by delivering apprenticeships. So, if you think you fit the above criteria, are dynamic and creative and want to make a difference too, get in touch.
