Learning Support Assistant

The Stamford Schools are seeking an inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join the department at Stamford Junior School. This is an essential role in creating a supportive environment for our student's educational journey.

The role of the Learning Support Assistant is to provide support for pupils to enable them to access the curriculum and progress to their full potential. The role will involve supporting, Individual children, small groups, and supporting pupils in-class within lessons.

The Learning Support department at Stamford Junior School supports pupils with a range of learning needs across the curriculum from Reception to Year 6 through in-class support and small group or individual work. The department has dedicated teaching space and a wide range of resources to support students' needs.

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or higher.


• Experience and success with working with children, preferably across the primary age range.


• Ability to inspire pupils, helping them to achieve their personal best.


• Experience of working with people with special educational needs or disability, preferably experience of working with children with Autism.


• Ability to encourage a love of learning in all pupils across the curriculum.


• Ability to engage with pupils positively and effectively.

We have various working hours options available, with an hourly rate of £12.71.
