Full Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Learning and Development Business Partner to join us. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking, growing team who are open to new and different ways of thinking. The role is home based, but we are looking for someone who is based in the Southwest, ideally in the Bristol area. There will be regular travel of about 2 to 4 days per month primarily across the southwest including down to our services in Devon.

As Learning and Development Business Partner, you will play a key role in the definition and delivery of the learning and development plan by leading specific workstreams and programmes, ensuring that they meet the needs of the business and learners.

Working closely with site Directors and managers, Support Office leaders and HR Business Partners you will identify, define and deliver local learning and development interventions around leader, manager, personal and team development.

This is a part time role of 16-20 hours per week, worked over 2 or 2.5 days per week.

So what will I be doing?

You'll be working closely with the teams in our clinics and will be a proactive business partner to the Partners/Directors, supporting them to identify and define learning and development needs within their teams. As part of this you'll work alongside the HR Business Partnering team on talent mapping across Newmedica.

You'll take a role in defining the learning and development plan and contributing to the development of the L&D function within Newmedica, and will be an ambassador for the support and development of the Newmedica Academy

You'll work with the HR team to plan and forecast learning and development programme needs and will play a proactive part in both the design and delivery of blended training and development solutions for our colleagues.

  • Experience in training design and delivery

  • An ability to research, design, deliver and measure quality learning interventions to management level

  • Experience in learning needs analysis, learning theory and learning medium recommendation


  • An understanding of Blended Learning Principles

  • A passion for people development

  • A commercial focus with the ability to demonstrate the value of learning and development

  • Coaching skills and experience
