Full Job Description

Provide technical leadership in an area of expertise working closely and developing good working relationships Maintain and develop high standards of service provision throughout their area of responsibility. Assist Service Head in developing working practices to ensure that safety critical work is completed in a safe and accurate manner. Develop and deliver research and development activities for healthcare advancement. Deputise for Service Head on Engineering matters during absence. Contribute to service and staff development. The responsibilities of REG Engineers include ensuring treatment machines function correctly and therefore enable patient treatment, applying fault diagnosis skills, engineering knowledge and IT knowledge to minimise clinical downtime, carrying out planned preventative and unplanned corrective maintenance, and providing the technical, engineering-related input to multidisciplinary radiotherapy service team. REG also works closely with the clinical and scientific
Radiotherapy teams to balance the needs of the service.
