Full Job Description

The Casualty team deal with a varied mixture of work ranging in value from low-end fast track to upper end multi-track work. The work includes different types of accidents including, public liability (PL), employer's liability (EL), disease matters and RTA claims.
The team act for a variety of entities including insurance companies, self-insured's and nominations via brokers. The work undertaken by the team is predominantly litigated with the only pre litigation work we really do being pre action disclosure applications.
Responsibilities:

  • To manage a litigated caseload of casualty claims, as well as assiting more senior team members

  • To deal with technical aspects of the cases under the supervision of the Team Leader

  • Use of the case management system and standard documentation where appropriate

  • Progress cases to a satisfactory and speedy settlement in accordance with client requeirments and SLA's

    Has a real interest in casualty claims and has previous experience handling defendant personal injury files

  • A team player, with strong communcication skills and attaention to detail

  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, in writing and person

  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Someone who is able to demonstrate a real desire to develop their career with DWF
