Full Job Description

The role of Laundry Manager will see you hold overall responsibility for all aspects of laundering our linen, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and keeping on top of the maintenance and servicing of all equipment. Leading, managing and developing our team of Laundry Assistants to ensure the smooth running of our Laundry Operation.

Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following areas of accountability:

  • Managing the smooth running of our Laundry Operation, through effective rota planning and training, development and management of the Laundry Team, including linen delivery as appropriate.

  • Ensuring all Linen is cleaned to a high standard and ready for the Housekeepers and Cleaners to collect in a timely manner, ready for check-in for our guests, positively impacting customer NPS and owner feedback.

  • To ensure all linen and towels are cleaned to a high standard and ready to go out to properties including: sorting, washing, drying, ironing and packing all laundry

  • Ensuring all linen and towels are maintained to a high standard and anything which does not meet our standards is replaced.

  • Managing stock levels and ensuring any additional items required are ordered in a timely manner to ensure all laundry requirements can be met at all times.

  • Responsible for all linen supplies including our own, hire or any private linen.

  • Build positive working relationships with all suppliers and colleagues.

  • Training, development and Management of the Laundry Team

  • Effective Rota planning and ensuring shifts are adequately covered at all times

  • Ensure best practice and quality is delivered at all times.

  • Wash, dry, press and fold all linen, ensuring high standards at all times to ensure bedding and towels for guests are consistently clean and of high quality.

  • Manage stock levels and ensure all linen is packed and ready for housekeepers to take to properties.

  • Must be compliant with all health & safety procedures whilst working on and with various laundry machines.

  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and always functioning as expected

  • Keeping up to date with all stock controls and updating records accordingly

  • Sorting and separating of private and hire laundry and ensuring correct linen is returned to the linen hire companies.

  • Assisting the Laundry Team with functional activity where required.

  • Any other duties required, as requested by the Property Services Manager

    Joining our Lyme Bay Holidays team, we are seeking our newest Laundry Manager with excellent attention to detail, standout communication skills and collaborative with our entire team during our busy booking season., Be able to work as part of a team

  • Previous experience of Managing a team

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Remaining calm under pressure

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Flexible attitude to work and working hours

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • IT literate and able to update stock controls

  • Full Clean driving licence

  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Desire to learn new skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience as a Laundry Manager

    Paying a salary of £25,000-28,000 per annum working 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days over 6 (Monday-Saturday).
