Full Job Description

As an Apprentice R&D Laboratory Technician working in our Ashton site, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Research and Development (R&D) team. You will be responsible for conducting lab tests, assisting in designing experiments for trials, and providing valuable input for the development and improvement of our products and processes.

  • Conduct various laboratory tests according to predefined protocols and procedures

  • Perform accurate and reliable data collection, recording, and analysis

  • Utilise laboratory equipment and instruments effectively and safely

  • Collaborate with the R&D team to develop experimental plans and protocols

  • Assist in designing and setting up experiments for product testing and improvement

    Minimum of three A-levels (or equivalent) with at least one A-level in Chemistry at grade C (or equivalent) or higher

  • A minimum of a grade C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English

  • Strong interest in laboratory work, research, and development processes

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques, instruments, and safety protocols is advantageous

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to skill development, Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, A Level or equivalent Chemistry (Grade C or above) Essential
