This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The Trust will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, shortlisted candidates will be required to demonstrate to the Trust, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.     We have an exciting opportunity at Northiam Primary School as we continue to grow. We are looking to appoint a qualified experienced level 3 teaching assistant to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils at Northiam School across KS2. Previous experience of promoting learning and development in a Primary School is essential.


  • The successful applicant will be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate excellent professional skill as well as helping to achieve high expectations for the children. Experience working with KS2 aged pupils in an educational setting, including children with additional learning needs is a must. Strong literacy and numeracy skills alongside familiarity with the national curriculum. The role requires someone who is passionate about children's learning and who has a rich knowledge and understanding of how to maximise each child's potential. You should be committed to continued professional development, teamwork and promoting child welfare, and adhering to health and safety standards.,

  • GCSE grade (A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths are essential.

    Hours of work: 25 hours per week

  • Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
    (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata), Hours of work are: 8 am - 1 pm Monday- Friday. This position includes providing our breakfast club provision and lunchtime cover.

    Single Status Grade 4: £23,114 - £23,500 per annum

    Term-Time Only Actual Salary: £13,493 - £13,718
