Full Job Description

As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen for Shrimp Shack, ensuring efficient food preparation, high-quality meals, comply to health and safety standards and ensure team members follow food safety procedures. You will manage kitchen staff, monitor inventory, be responsible for checking kitchen equipment, collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve culinary goals and customer satisfaction. Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their duties and deal with any staff disciplinary matters in accordance with the company's staff disciplinary/grievance policies and procedures.

-Train new kitchen employees on cooking techniques and safety procedures. Ensure efficient food preparation and timely delivery of meals.
-Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times.
- Develop and update menu items based on customer preferences and seasonal availability in collaboration with the management team.
- Manage kitchen budgets and control costs to maximise profitability.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or promotions.
- Resolve kitchen-related issues or customer complaints promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Implement and enforce kitchen policies and procedures effectively.

3 -4 years previous experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in kitchen management software or systems (e.g., inventory management, scheduling).
