Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Da. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. You will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.,

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients.


• Cooking Assistance: Support the Head Chef and kitchen staff in basic cooking tasks and plating dishes.


• Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that the kitchen, including work surfaces, floors, and equipment, is clean and well-maintained.


• Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.


• Inventory Management: Assist in checking and stocking inventory and report any shortages or expired items to the Head Chef.


• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety standards, food hygiene regulations, and cafe policies.


• Customer Service: Occasionally assist with serving food and beverages and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.


• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and cafe staff to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.
  
  Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.


• Skills: Basic cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.


• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.


• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.


• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.


• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
