Full Job Description

Are you passionate about design and creativity with a flair for digital aesthetics? Then get ready to unleash your design creativity in the world of skincare as we're on the lookout for a talented Junior Designer to join our creative powerhouse!

You'll be responsible for creating eye-catching social media and website visuals that will elevate Tropic's visual, online presence to new heights whilst becoming a brand champion and ensuring seamless consistency across every digital platform. But that's not all! We want you to push the creative envelope, dreaming up innovative and fresh content that will leave our audience constantly wowed.

This is your chance to not only grow alongside a passionate team that values sustainability and innovation, but also to shake things up in the beauty industry!,

  • Create Compelling Social Media Content: Develop and design outstanding digital assets tailored for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including Instagram stories, educational carousels, and eye-catching Facebook covers.

  • Enhance Our Website: Produce creative web banners and engaging illustrations for our blog posts, ensuring each piece resonates with our clean, organic ethos.

  • Drive Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent, on-brand aesthetic across all digital channels, ensuring every design aligns seamlessly with Tropic Skincare's brand guidelines.

  • Collaborate Creatively: Participate in brainstorming sessions and share innovative ideas that reflect the latest trends and inspiring designs for Tropic's social media and website content.

  • Support and Inspire: Assist our design team with various duties including printed material design, photo retouching, and logistical support during photoshoots and company events.

Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a similar field is preferred, but relevant work experience can be considered as an alternative.

  • Software Skills: Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, is essential.

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio that showcases a variety of design work across different platforms is required.

  • Design Knowledge: A solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory is necessary.

  • Enthusiasm and Innovation: A passion for design and a commitment to staying updated on industry trends and new developments are important.

  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

  • Organisation and Time Management: Excellent organisational and time management skills are required.

  • Multitasking and Pressure: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.

Susie, our Founder and CEO, started Tropic Skincare as a teenager, selling homemade body scrubs at Greenwich Market to help her mum pay the bills. She sold out on her first day and the incredible response made her realise she had started something quite special.

  • We still sell that iconic body scrub, and it sits alongside an extensive range of award-winning skincare and beauty products that have made us one of the UK's fastest-growing beauty businesses. Our brand is certified vegan, cruelty-free and CarbonNeutral®, and our infinite purpose is to create a healthier, greener, more empowered world.

And that's where you come in.

We're looking for creative and ambitious people who share our vision and get excited about beauty that's both innovative and sustainable. If you're passionate about skincare and have a genuine desire to empower communities across the globe, you could be a great fit.

  • Where we're located: Tropic HQ is located a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon.

  • Hybrid Working: We offer flexible working with at least 3 days a week in the office.

  • Benefits: On-site parking, generous annual leave, 24/7 well-being support, discounted gym membership, pension scheme, enhanced maternity/paternity leave (available after a qualifying period), exclusive skincare collection, 50% discount for family and friends, annual product allowance, free breakfast bar, access to retailer discounts, social events, well-being treats, and a cycle to work scheme.
