Full Job Description

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software assets, IT contract management and security of all business devices. This role also includes 1st and 2nd line support, where required. You will be working closely with third-party providers, the other members within the IT team, and the rest of the business.

Further duties include:

  • Asset and asset registry management

  • Contract management

  • Purchase, set up, and registration of company devices

  • General IT device support

  • 1st and 2nd line support for IT related issues

  • Management of ticket portal JIRA

  • Proactive maintenance and monitoring of all business devices and licences including planned maintenance, scheduling updates and check-ins

  • Support with testing to meet business requirements

  • Management and administration of payment gateways

  • Management and support of networks and devices on all business sites

    Asset management experience (essential)

  • Previous work experience as IT support (essential)

  • Technical knowledge (software & hardware)

  • Knowledge of ISMS principles

  • Proven track record of good organisation and co-ordination skills

  • Strong administrative skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • MS Office user (Excel, Word etc.)

  • Proactive approach to work, efficient task management

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Process driven

  • Integrity, trust and honesty

  • Have a positive and energetic attitude

  • Ability to work in a team or a self-motivated environment

  • Business experience (wider business understanding rather than focusing on a role or department only)

    A salary of £30,000 - £32,000
