Full Job Description

The Grand Pier are seeking a practical multi skilled IT technician to assist teams across the attraction and during events with their IT support, supporting the front facing teams deliver fun experiences and memorable days out.

The role will have exposure to a number of technologies covering many aspects of supporting the IT systems of a dynamic and exciting business. The role is not a desk role, although some desk work will be required. It is a practical role where the successful candidate will be working with operational teams to install, move, de-install and configure equipment in its estate.

Main duties:

- Helping users with IT issues either face to face or over the telephone

- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications for on-site and remote workers

- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks

- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults

- Replacing parts as required

- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports

- Supporting the roll-out of new applications and hardware

- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues

- Prioritising and managing open calls

- Testing and evaluating new technology

- assisting with new learning such as phone and CCTV systems

The role will have the opportunity to gain experience in a number of technologies such as:

- Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems

- Microsoft Office & Productivity Applications

- Sage Financial Management Systems

- Networking Equipment

- bespoke and off the shelf applications

- server and user security within the organisation and updates to stop cyber attacks

Knowledge of IT related subjects such as PC components

- Knowledge of Network Components & Operating Systems

- Good Numeracy & Literacy

- Good Problem Solving & Customer Care

- Enthusiasm for developing the IT systems within the business

- Attention to Detail

- Flexibility

- A willingness to learn
