Full Job Description

The Investor Relations team manages the relationship and communications between Tesco and its owners (i.e. its shareholders). This is an integral role to leading our investor and external relationships (i.e banks, analysts) on behalf of our CEO, CFO and Group Investor Relations Director to build long-term investor and analyst support.

This role will provide you with broad experience across a range of activities, including financial results processes and corporate access. You will also gain a broad knowledge of the Tesco Group and exposure to our senior colleagues across the business.

You will be responsible for

  • Administrative duties for Group Strategy, Innovation and Investor Relations Director, including complex diary management and prioritising senior team meetings, frequent international travel, managing team distribution lists and team inbox access, gifting and communication

  • Providing a professional, efficient and warm service for investors and sell-side analysts

  • Co-ordinating and running a programme of engagement for the year, including roadshows, conferences and analyst events

  • Collaborating with external partners and associated activities (including full diary coordination and management)

  • End to end project management of key internal and external meetings and events as part of the annual cycle

  • Preparing detailed briefing notes and schedules for our CEO, CFO and non-executive directors

  • and maintaining the IR contact management system with contacts, logging all meetings and email communication, cleansing distribution lists and entering meeting notes after the event

  • Ad-hoc support to the wider IR team: Assisting in running team meetings and creating agendas, organising team days and social events, managing the IR inbox (filing, organising, logging correspondence in the contact management system, delegating and responding to queries), lining up invoice payments

  • Support during the four results periods: Managing the timeline and the diary, including sending all invites, organising post-results analyst events

    Great communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to prioritise and be one step ahead at all times

  • Experience of collaborating effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners (often at senior business levels) with a willingness to build positive and effective working relationships

  • A drive to learn and develop alongside a positive \'can do\' attitude

  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Disability Confident
