Full Job Description

As part of our Data Solutions team, you will be responsible for engaging and building relationships with Asset Managers, Asset Owners, and Consultants to ensure that our database houses the information that eVestment clients and prospects need to make investment decisions. We believe that every data point on every investment product in our database represents an opportunity for an Investor to achieve their financial goals. We are the storefront window for the Institutional Investing community, and our Data Solutions team discovers and attracts comprehensive data from Asset Managers on all investment strategies that our clients and prospects care about.
We're looking for evidence of your passion and persistence to relentlessly pursue challenging goals. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying areas where we can expand our data, helping to focus our data collection efforts on the data most relevant to our clients. You will spend a significant portion of your time engaging directly with Asset Managers via email and phone calls, incentivizing them to share more data on eVestment's platform. You will support those same Asset Managers throughout their journey with eVestment, training them on how to use our Input portal, educating them on best practices, and following up with them to help overcome any difficulties they are facing. You will also cultivate relationships with Asset Owners and Consultants that use eVestment to understand their data needs and foster their advocacy. Lastly, you will collaborate across eVestment groups, especially with our Client Success, Sales, Product Strategy, and Marketing groups to ensure we are
continuously delivering a consistent, clear, and compelling message to our clients.

A certain degree of personal accountability, creativity, and latitude are required and encouraged. Your desire to build working knowledge of applicable financial terminology and industry best practices will help you be successful in this role and in our company. You embrace technology (Excel proficiency is just the beginning for you); creating pivot tables and using VLOOKUP are already a part of your skill set. We need excellence. This means your communication skills are stellar: polished, professional communication skills and detailed analytical skills are vital. We strive to innovate. This means you question the status quo and love asking, "What if…?" We need teamwork. This means when a colleague asks, "Can someone help me with…?" you're quick to answer "Yes." We need humility. This means you are willing to lend a hand where necessary. We need integrity. This means you deliver results with little supervision and don't hesitate to acknowledge, own, and resolve errors you've made (we
all make them, we have to learn from them). We need focus. This means that you understand the priorities of our business and arrange your day-to-day work to make the biggest impact.
We expect you to have:

  • Basic experience in the institutional investment field or a relationship management role, and relevant internship experience will also be considered

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • The ability to deliver training, respond to complex inquiries, and handle difficult conversations

  • Driven, with high levels of tenacity and resilience to pursue and achieve ambitious goals

  • Strong track record of professional and academic success, leadership, and service

  • Passion for finance, investing, and data with a desire to continuously expand knowledge in these areas (e.g. through reading, courses, or certifications)

  • Proactive and innovative, someone who identifies problems and recommends possible solutions

  • Servant leadership, able to set aside personal projects and priorities to support colleagues and help them be successful

  • It would be good if you also have:
  • Experience with eVestment and/or Institutional Asset Management

  • Progress towards CFA or CAIA
