Full Job Description

As a Barclays Investment Banking - Personal Assistant, you will have the chance to join the Corporate and Investment Bank is comprised of the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Global Markets businesses. Specifically, you will provide full secretarial and administrative support for 2-3 senior bankers plus wider members of the team within Investment Banking. What will you be doing?

  • Managing complex and detailed calendars

  • Being responsible for Screening incoming calls

  • Arranging and coordinating complex travel, including ensuring all business and compliance related approvals are in place

  • Using tact and good judgment in confidential situations

  • Being responsible for dealing with people competently and confidently at all levels; building relationships with clients and colleagues across the bank

  • Collaborating with other assistants, in a positive partnership to support each other

  • Supporting the team with tasks as required

    Organised, confident, approachable, and flexible with energy and resilience

  • Proactive, with the ability to think ahead

  • Problem solver who thinks laterally to resolve situations and find the right answer

  • Team player with willingness to help; able to work independently


  • Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Financial institution experience preferred

  • Relevant EA experience supporting at Managing Director level

    Where will you be working?

  • In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
