Interim Accountant

Genus PLC has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for an Interim Accountant to join our team. This is a fixed-term contract to fulfill a maternity cover and is located in our Stapeley, Nantwich office (hybrid work is an option). The Interim Accountant will report to the EMEA Ledger Close Manager and work within a people-centric, global business environment.,

• Responsible for general accounting entries for the company


• Responsible for inventory accounting entries, accruals/ provisions calculations and reconciliations


• Responsible for the completion of balance sheet reconciliations


• Assist with the submission of half yearly reporting packs to the group finance function


• Reviewing process to identify improvements and control weaknesses, assisting the team in harmonizing process to follow a global standard


• Supporting with the external and internal audits


• Collaborate with other members of the finance team and the wider business
  
  Authorized to work in the U.K. without sponsorship


• Experience of working in a large accounting department.


• Experience of stock accounting


• Fully or part qualified accountant


• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel


• Experience of using a ERP system ideally Dynamics 365


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Attention to detail


• Ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines


• Effective communication with the ability to work as a team and on own initiative
