Full Job Description

As our Housing Inspection Readiness & Transformation Manager, you can make your own powerful contribution by helping us improve the resident housing experience in Westminster.

In our newly formed Housing and Commercial Partnerships directorate, we are focused on delivering exceptional services to our residents, so that they feel confident in our ability to deliver what they need, when they need it. You will play an instrumental role in this work by elevating and maintaining our reputation with the local population, and as such, this is your chance to be a catalyst for change.

Specifically, we will look to you to prepare our team for the new regulatory regime of Housing Inspections. It is vital that we have the policies and processes in place to comply so you will have the autonomy to devise the strategies and procedures needed to drive these changes. This will include remaining on top of inspection frameworks, and conducting gap analyses against current consumer standards, so that you can guide us on the steps that need to be taken to comply with (and ideally exceed) the expected standards.

Directly overseeing a small team and matrix-managing other teams across the department, you will provide a vital bridge between our work and the needs and expectations of our residents, so the scope to drive change for the better is immense. As such, you will work with numerous stakeholders across the department to ensure the resident experience remains at the heart of every decision being made in relation to inspection readiness.

We are looking to make a lasting impact on the communities we serve, and as such, you will excel in this role if you share our vision of delivering a great quality of life to our local residents. You will therefore be passionate about delivering service improvement and cultural change. It goes without saying that you will be well-versed in the challenges facing the social housing sector, inspection readiness and the changes required to deliver. Comfortable coaching a team, you will be an inspirational leader who enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to complex problems - so great analytical, communication, influencing and negotiation skills are essential.
