Full Job Description

Aligned with our commitment to Career-Focused Learning and fostering strong connections within our community and with local and regional employers, this role plays a crucial part in providing administrative assistance to the College Industry Placement Team across both the Seevic and Palmer's campuses. As a valued member of our dynamic and inclusive team, you will utilise your exceptional organisational and time management abilities to support the Industry Placement advisors, Team Leader, and Head of Work Experience and Careers, ultimately contributing to positive outcomes for our learners. Building constructive relationships with young individuals, employers, and fellow colleagues throughout the college will be a key aspect of this role.,

  • Assist in managing a Work Placement appointment booking service, ensuring smooth scheduling and coordination.

  • Coordinate and maintain the annual work experience schedule as part of the College Work Placement cycle.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Work Experience MyUSP dashboard, facilitating efficient tracking and management.

  • Provide administrative support for Work Placement and joint team events such as the Annual Careers Fair, drop-in workshops, and Industry Placement Awards.

  • Liaise with employers and learners to gather necessary paperwork and support the college work experience programme.

  • Conduct learner DBS checks as required for work placements.

  • Mark registers for the college work experience programmes to ensure accurate attendance records.

  • Conduct spot checks on student attendance at placements and document learner absence as necessary.

  • Coordinate the recording of placement hours and collect employer/student work placement feedback, ensuring timely submission.

  • Collaborate with case handlers to identify and create student placement profiles/success stories, highlighting achievements and experiences., Our strategy is to create a Career Focused, Digital Learning environment, ensuring that the learner experience and our relationship within our community, local and regional employers, are at the heart of everything we do.   • Appropriate professional qualification, or relevant experience of working in Administration, Demonstrated experience as an administrator/coordinator is essential.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

  • Proactive attitude with a positive outlook is highly desirable.
