Full Job Description

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for all mining equipment, including ASIC miners, cooling systems, power distribution units, and networking infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with technicians and contractors to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements.

  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.


  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly, minimizing disruption to mining operations.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement effective solutions for complex technical issues, ensuring rapid resolution of critical failures.

  • Maintain detailed records of equipment failures, repairs, and resolutions to inform future maintenance strategies and improve overall reliability.


  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program to proactively identify and address potential equipment failures before they occur.

  • Conduct regular inspections and performance tests to identify wear and deterioration of components, scheduling timely replacements to prevent unexpected downtime.

  • Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules based on equipment performance data and industry best practices to maximize equipment lifespan and operational efficiency.


  • Power Management and Efficiency
  • Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities to optimize energy usage, reducing operating costs while maintaining mining performance.

  • Implement energy-efficient practices and technologies to minimize electricity consumption and carbon footprint, aligning with sustainability goals.

  • Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams to design and implement improvements to power distribution and cooling systems, increasing overall efficiency and reliability.


  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, implementing and enforcing safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

  • Provide training and support to maintenance teams on safety procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.


  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

  • Develop inventory management processes and systems to track spare parts usage, reorder thresholds, and procurement timelines, optimizing inventory costs and availability.


  • Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Collaborate with management to develop and manage maintenance budgets, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies and prioritize investments in equipment upgrades and replacements to maximize return on investment.


  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and performance.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging communication, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and training sessions to develop technical skills and professional growth opportunities for team members.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering.

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance management, preferably 3-5 years in a data center or industrial manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with experience working with mining hardware (ASIC miners, cooling systems, etc.).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.

  • Familiarity with energy management principles and sustainable practices in industrial operations.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to have tough conversions and get things done, able to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

  • Proficiency in budgeting and cost control, with a track record of managing maintenance budgets effectively.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to industrial environments.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A master at turning analysis into actionable tasks.
