Full Job Description

As EMEA Buyer - Indirect Materials, you will be sourcing indirect materials & services for the EMEA region and participating in the development and execution of the global procurement strategy.

Indirect sourcing requires a unique blend of analysis, stakeholder management, and process development along with traditional sourcing and transactional processes. Within indirect sourcing there is a large volume of vendors that require a broad range of expertise and prioritization. You will understand your assigned categories, analyze the market, prepare sourcing strategy and using RFP process, negotiate, implement, and track results.

What you'll be doing as an Indirects Materials Buyer

The role will include the sourcing of categories including: Packaging / MRO / Corporate Services / HR Services / Capital Equipment / Technical Goods and Services. You will play an integral part in the:

  • Developing comprehensive strategies for the categories you manage, and deliver those strategies to improve the supply chain.

  • Purchasing materials, equipment and services, and source suppliers complying with corporate purchasing regulations and policies.

  • Negotiating contracts and purchases of indirect materials and service to ensure best conditions for Solenis either for plant specific requirement or EMEA/global contract requirements.

  • Facilitate EMEA/Global relationships of contracts within applicable regions between Solenis stakeholders and supplier.

  • Resolve purchasing related issues between department and vendor

    Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent; business, finance, technical, supply chain education preferred

  • Persuasive influencing & negotiating skills.

  • Proven track record of delivering cost out initiatives

  • Excellent organization capabilities and project management skills

  • Problem solving skills with a "can-do" attitude

  • Customer service orientation - ability to identify, understand and give priority to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers

  • Quality orientation - ability and propensity to take action necessary to ensure all work is completed with accuracy and integrity

  • Working knowledge of SAP would be a beneficial

  • Data analysis skills - excellent knowledge of computer software programs including MS Office
