Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our Health Complaints advocacy service in North Yorkshire. The role is to support people wishing to make a complaint about an NHS-funded service. You will be providing face-to-face and remote support to people, helping them navigate the NHS complaints process, writing letters and supporting people at meetings with NHS professionals, or the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. You will be helping people to speak up and express their views about their care and treatment or representing them where they feel unable to do so. This role includes support people of all ages and will include working with people who may have additional needs (e.g. mental health needs, a learning disability, autistic people, people with physical or sensory impairment, people with an acquired brain injury, people with long-term health conditions). The role may also include working with people who have experienced recent health trauma or bereavement. This role
will does not involve shift work or personal care. Occasional working outside Monday-Friday 9-5 may be required to meet the needs of people accessing the service.
