Full Job Description

In this pivotal role as an Inclusion Support Line Advisor within Suffolk County Council's Inclusion Service, you'll provide vital support to educational settings across Suffolk via phone and email. You'll be the first point of contact and will be resolving queries, signposting services, and providing an escalation point to senior practitioners to help school-based colleagues in supporting children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
As part of a newly formed team, you'll establish relationships and networks, provide a resource bank, and offer advice and accurate signposting to current children's services. Maintaining the comprehensive Local Offer website to keep information up to date. From managing a database to analysing trends to inform improvements, to updating the website and escalating school concerns, you'll be a vital point of contact. You will need:
- excellent communication skills and the ability to listen, reflect, escalate and signpost when necessary
- the ability to form working relationships across a network of services to maintain contacts and assist in supporting education settings to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND
- strong organisational skills to set up, monitor, and maintain the resources needed to support education settings
- to be self-motivated to seek out opportunities to create networks and partnership working across Children Services.

£26,421 per annum (pro rata)
- 18.5 hours per week, Flexible working options available
